* Idul Fitri Holiday *
"Selamat Hari Raya Idul Fitri ~ Mohon Maaf Lahir dan Batin"

To celebrate the end of Ramadhan month with our Indo families, we flew to Jakarta as we always do every year. We stayed in Indonesia from 22nd October until 15th November. We went to other cities (Puncak, Bogor, Bandung) and flew to Bali island, but spent most of the time in my beloved Jakarta city with my big family. On one hand it is kind of hectic for Wolfie to stay for too long in this huge metropolitan city, on the other hand I feel kind of guilty when I travel around for too long while I am there, as going home for me means spending time with my beloved family and enjoying my old 'home' atmosphere. So we arranged that Wolfie could stay longer on Bali and I went back earlier to organise my visa for UAE and spend more time with family and also old friends.

On the way back home we stopped over in Dubai for 3 days before we flew back to good old Germany. We did sightseeing tour and shopped 'till we dropped in those giant malls. We also joined a dessert safari - thank God we did not vomit in that clean 4-wheel car, as it was pure adrenalin sport! Dubai is a very interesting wealthy city which has been developing rapidly with thousands of building sites at the moment. They predict that most of these buildings will have been standing amazingly in 2010. The city overall looks artificial, but it is definitely worth to be checked out once. As we were there in winter, we did not suffer from the heat. Just remember not to visit UAE in summer, or you will have to hide in the air-conditioned rooms and cars all the time!
